Spica International offers very wide
choice of ID technologies as standard: from legacy as magstripe
and copy-protected barcode to the latest in contact and
contactless smartcards. Several lines of proximity (RFID) cards
and readers are offered as standard: HID and Indala (leading
brands), H4000 (generic), Mifare (open smartcard) and Legic
(advanced smartcard).
Apart from these "native" technologies,
Spica can offer integration with numerous other types and brands
of readers. Spica has successfully integrated readers from most
major brands like Cotag, Philips, Keri, Siemens, Motorola,
Honeywell, Westinghouse and others. Most of these readers (or
compatible replacements) can be purchased directly from Spica
International.
Such open reader policy allows readers and
cards from different vendors to be used together even within the
same system, which is becoming increasingly important with the
proliferation of various new ID technologies and lack of
standards.

What good is a system which does not speak
your language? Coming from a small language market
ourselves, we are very well aware of this problem. And we
have taken good care of it, making our entire system easy to
localize. The software can be translated from English by
virtually anyone, a distributor, integrator, reseller or
even by end-user. Even if your language is English, you can
