Advanced Biometrics supported in Time&Space

Spica has been sucsessfully using biometric recognition for about 10 years in Time&Space systems. During this time we've deployed more than 1.000 fingerprint readers that are used by more than 50.000 users. Although fingerprint is still the most widely used and practical biometric technology on the market, we're very pleased to introduce two new biometric technologies, iris recognition and 3D face recognition. Starting from September 2007, both major alternatives to fingerprint are supported in Time&Space.

Both, iris recognition and 3D face recognition offers contacless comodity of use. Iris recognition uses the iris pattern as unique identifier and according to statistics, iris templates are even more unique than figerprints. Iris recognition is suitable for top-secure premises or to secure access where poeple have limited capabilites of exposing bare hands (wearing gloves, damaged or unrecognizble fingerprints, etc.). Recognition time is very fast and results are accurate (low FRR/FAR). 3D face recognition is a composed biometric method that, like humans, uses face morphology as unique identifier. Bioscrypt is World first manufacturer to offer this technology that proves to be reliable and accurate. Multimodal sampling technology and intelligent algorythims maks it virtually impossible to cheat the sensor while assuring outstanding performance – unsensitive to capturing angle, exposure, haircut, glasses, beard or head wearings (kerchiefs, hats,...).
