Artificial intelligence for innovative access control

The Research and development of advanced features and methods are part of our permanent effort to ensure innovative solutions which bring great benefits and long term value to our customers. Thus, we are proud to announce that we are working on “The Integrated Intelligent Secure Biometrical System” - a hi tech research and development project , which is being performed within the “Science for security and peace 2006-2010” research program, financed by the Slovenian Ministry of Defence. Both as a project leader and in conjunction with the “Jožef Stefan” Institute’s Department of Intelligent Systems and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering’s Laboratory of Imaging Technologies, we are striving to improve the quality of existing access management systems by integrating the most sophisticated intelligent modules and computer vision recognition.

The aim of the ongoing project has been to achieve advanced access control, which integrates a biometric iris reader, fingerprint reader, RFID card reader, PIN-based authorization, an advanced system for the automated detection of deviations from predicated behaviour patterns by manual and automated learning, and a module on the inquiry of unusual behaviour. This creative partnership with other recognized Slovenian R&D institutions shows the successful leadership of our R& D centre in the applicative development of advanced access control systems and enables us to implement top R&D achievements into best business practice.
