December 2008 - Spica successfully concluded participation at Sicurezza 2008, Milan
Spica successfully exhibited at Sicurezza 2008, which once again confirmed its stature as one of Southern Europe’s major security events,
attracting visitors not only from Italy, but from all over Europe. The Italians know something about style and design, and so the classy,
slick design of the DOX Console range caught the eye of many visitors. They were especially captivated by the combination of the stylish hardware
design of the DOX range with its integrated time, attendance & access control software, Time&Space, operating in conjunction with the latest biometric
technology from Bioscrypt - 3D Face Recognition. Visitors to the stand particularly appreciated being able to see the complete work-flow - live, from
user enrolment to payroll data calculation, while also being able to try it out for themselves.
A number of interested integrators and installers were able to learn, first-hand, about the advantages and flexibility the DOX platform offers.
As well as supporting almost all of the contactless, RFID technologies, it enables users to up-grade effortlessly from access control to time and
attendance, and also to easily change or adopt new system configurations in line with their current requirements. However, for those looking for an
all-in-one concept, there is still the DOG20 with its fingerprint option (template-on-board and template-on-card), which was also exhibited on the Legic stand.
