Access Control (AC) is the basis of
every Time&Space system. The software maintains the common
database that contains data about users, badges, access points
and clockings. It provides the application framework for
accommodating other add-on software modules. Naturally, AC
provides basic access control functions and maintains personal
access profiles i.e. information "who may enter where and when".
It lets the user survey and manipulate all data from the common
database including door events and work time clockings. AC also
includes simple attendance calculation.
AC modules also offer setting and
monitoring of alarm events triggered by various alarm
devices which can be connected to clock terminals and access
controllers. They also allow email notification, tracking of
alarm statuses through time, and archiving and browsing through
alarm history.
Visual event monitoring - VSL
VSL module provides graphical monitoring of the
Time&Space system. Access control and time recording
points are represented as graphical symbols. Floor plans used
as backgrounds for spatial orientation. Access control and
time recording events can be set to trigger visual and audible
indication in real-time, providing the instant information
like name, photograph, type of the event and status.

Besides card events (events made by personal
identification), VSL also supports monitoring of alarm signals
which are collected through the subnetwork of time and space
terminals, for example fire, burglar, door-open alarms and
similar.
More VSL modules can be used simultaneously allowing
decentralized or segmented monitoring (buildings, sites,
departments).
