This module is called Time&Space Calendar Integration for
Outlook (TSCIO) and allows Calendar from Microsoft Outlook
to be used as front-end for collecting and managing various
Out-Of-Office events. Such events often require some
workflow (user application, manager approval or rejection)
before they can be recorded into Time&Space as planned
absences. Typical examples of such events are foreseeable
whole day absences like vacations, business trips, external
seminars and trainings.
The main benefit of TSCIO is that the
information is collected from users in the easiest possible
way for them, using the popular tool they are already
familiar with. Obviously, this solution will be especially
attractive for organisations already having MS Office as
their standard desktop software.
Group managers and administrators
are using TSCIO for managing employee applications for FWDAs
(foreseeable whole day absences). Applications are either
rejected or approved and copied into Time&Space database.
