System requirements
|
Frontman database needs to be installed on Microsoft SQL or MSDE
database server. Database and Frontman Communicator can be
installed on the same server (Frontman server) which needs to be
accessible from Frontman Mobile terminals. This is the optimum
configuration but also other system configurations can be used.
More than one Communicators can be used and many Frontman PC
workstations allow different users to login to the system.

Frontman can handle large amount of data
|
Larger databases are no longer a problem for Frontman because V4
can work fast with large number of records. Frontman Mobile
response time during document creation using databases with
approximately 10.000 products and 1.000 locations is around 3
seconds which is acceptable for majority of users. On smaller
databases Frontman Mobile has extremely short response times.

Support for Windows CE.NET terminals |
Frontman Mobile can run on Pocket PC 2002 or 2003 terminals and
will run on Windows CE . NET terminals very soon.

Support for different mobile printers (Zebra, Epson, Symbol,...)
|
|
Support for any 80 column ASCII TXT printer is included in
Frontman V4. Printers that were tested with Frontman V4 are:
Symbol RP1000, Symbol PrintPad and Epson LX300. Connection to
the printer can be established over direct RS232 cable, RS232
cradle, IR or Bluetooth. Additional printers and changes in
document layout can be supported with minor changes in the
application.
