Our TOP 5 Achievements in 2022 - What have we accomplished and how have we gotten better?

At the end of each year, we take some time to reflect and analyze what we have accomplished in the past year and what our main strategic goals for the coming year are. Such reflection helps us illuminate what accomplishments we are most proud of, and also where we can improve and do better.

Taking time to analyze, reflect, and set bold new goals is also an important part of the management methods we use regularly at SPICA. 

One such method is the OKR (Objectives and Key Results), which we use to set annual and quarterly goals; the other is the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, which drives us to continuous improvement.

We have no doubt that both methods (OKR and PDCA) have helped us make our biggest breakthroughs in the past year. 

They also drive us to provide better and better solutions to our customers, better programs to our partners, and a better work environment to our employees.

So here they are - our biggest achievements of 2022:

1. Among top vendors in Gartner Market Guide for Workforce Management Applications

Each year, Gartner publishes a Market Guide for Workforce Management Applications that describes key findings, recommendations and representative vendors. For the third consecutive year, Gartner has ranked Spica among the TOP 20 vendors in Europe.

To summarize the guide, the key recommendations for end users are to migrate from older WMF applications to the latest generation of cloud solutions; especially to access the latest features and minimize security risks. WMF strategy should also be closely aligned with digital workplace, human capital management and digital transformation.

Last but not least, using advanced scheduling capabilities can help deploy existing employees as efficiently as possible, and WMF applications can help improve employee effectiveness. Other key benefits of implementing the latest generation of cloud WMF solutions include cost optimization, compliance and a better employer experience.

2. We won the award for the best employer for the second time in a row

We managed to win the first place in the prestigious "Employer of the Year" award in The Golden Thread competition. And this is the second time in a row. 

The merits for the success lie in SPICA's strong affiliation and culture, which is characterized by the intertwining of mutual respect and cooperation among employees, an agile focus on continuous business and technological improvements, and the development of the most important asset in SPICA - its people.

3. SPICA's solutions available on Microsoft’s and all other major marketplaces

SPICA has been working successfully with Microsoft for more than 30 years. In 2020, SPICA was awarded the Microsoft Partner of the Year Award for outstanding technological solutions based on the latest Microsoft technologies.

From 2022 on, SPICA's time and space management apps are also available in the Microsoft App Marketplace. You can find Spica apps also on other main marketplaces, Apple App Store, Google Play, and SAP Store. SPICA's applications are used by thousands of users worldwide in this way.

International technology partnerships and ISO certifications are an important pillar of our competitive advantage, as these partnerships help us provide robust, advanced, scalable, accessible and secure solutions based on the latest technologies.

4. Successful SPICA Franchise launch

We already offer several proven partner models - Affiliate program, Reseller program and Developer program. You can read more about the partner programs here. We’re proud of many partners we have all around the world. In 2022, we added a new, the most comprehensive program to our partner offering - SPICA Franchise.

The SPICA franchise is one of the first cloud software franchises that requires a small initial investment but offers the opportunity to grow your income exponentially by retaining existing customers and adding new ones. We have opened the first test franchises in three markets and look forward to adding more in 2023.

5. SPICA’s solutions are up to the most demanding WFM cases

The best way to illustrate the advanced WMF cases is with an example. Yaskawa is one of Japan's leading manufacturers of industrial robots.
