At the beginning of each new year, we do a quick reflection on all goals achieved in the previous one.

Then, we select the achievements we are the proudest of at Spica; not to boast, but as proof that we are constantly innovating, being customer centric, creating strong partnerships and strengthening our tradition every year.

In other words, you are in safe hands if you are looking for a company to help you manage the time of your employees better with cloud time & attendance solutions.

Here are the breakthroughs we’re most proud of in 2021:

1. The Olympic gold medal

Our athlete, Benjamin Savšek, (Spica is his sponsor) became a gold medal champion at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

His struggle in the wild waters perfectly reflects the current COVID-19 storm in which the whole world has found itself; a storm which cannot be overcome with muscle alone but requires a wealth of agility and resilience.

With this in mind, let’s go with full steam ahead in 2022!

2. Microsoft partnership and case study

Microsoft presented Spica on their website as a role model for partners who want to switch from an on-prem to cloud solution. With Microsoft, we prepared a case study of a successful transition to cloud for workforce management solutions.

This joint case study, published in 2021, is the result of our successful 30-year collaboration with Microsoft.

It has turned out that our shared tradition and resilience, combined with our agility and innovation, has led us to a winning combination.

We have enabled our customers around the world to quickly adapt to new conditions and concepts, including working from home, part-time work, safe distance work, and last but not least, new logistical routes to customers.

3. The Budapest Opera House

Our Hungarian partner, B-consulting, won the "Partner of the Year" award for the second year in a row.

In 2021, this long-term partnership was also crowned with a joint high-profile project in the shape of the implementation of the Time & Space system at the Budapest Opera House.

In 2022, we are already preparing a dedicated cloud offer for the Hungarian market.

4. Employer of the year

Satisfied employees are a prerequisite for establishing long-term relationships with satisfied customers. That’s why at Spica we’re investing a lot of energy into building a strong internal culture.

Our 10-year effort of building a unique company culture was repaid last year with the prestigious Employer of the Year award at The Golden Thread competition.

In the future, taking extra steps for our employees (and customers) will be our top priority and a fundamental pillar on which we will base our future success.

5. The reward for special innovation achievement

Last but not least, we won the award for special innovation achievement in the area of process innovation.

The reward was imparted to us by the Slovenian chamber of commerce and is confirmation that with our disruptive innovation strategy and the transition to software solutions in the Cloud, we are on the right track.

In 2022, you can expect many new, innovative products, services and features from our development laboratories, which are leading in WMF industry on a global scale.

All the best in the new year!
