SPICA All Hours 2.0: Fresh look & Smarter timelines
A new version of SPICA’s cloud-based time and attendance solution, All Hours 2.0, is here, packed with features that make time and attendance tracking more visual, personalized, and efficient.
With this release, we’ve also launched a redesigned All Hours website. We warmly invite you to explore it.
What’s new in the latest version?
1. Avatars are now visible across all views
All Hours 2.0 introduces a fresh visual upgrade: avatars as profile pictures, now shown across calendar, attendance, and presence views.
Instead of displaying initials, users can use avatars or upload a personal photo, adding a human touch that makes recognition easier and the interface more friendly and modern.
Prefer initials? That’s still an option.
2. Category mode on timelines
A new Category Mode for timelines lets you display detailed time categories using distinct, customizable colors:
- Instantly see when someone is working from home, on lunch, on leave, or in any custom-defined category.
- Assign colors to each category for easier recognition.
- Color-coded absence icons provide instant insight into absence reasons.
- Fully backward-compatible — switch to and from basic mode anytime.
This enhancement brings powerful visual clarity to daily and weekly time views, especially for managers needing at-a-glance understanding of team activity.
3. Count of specific clocking events
You can create counters for custom clocking events (e.g., leaving with a company vehicle, early departures). These counters support reporting and can tie into payroll exports.
Counters are highly flexible: you can define calculation, carryover, expiration, or payout rules based on time categories, contract types, seniority, or location. This allows for precise alignment with internal policies and country-specific labor laws.
Accruals in All Hours are an advanced feature and a key competitive advantage, allowing you to configure various time categories and their associated rules, such as vacation, sick leave, overtime, and unpaid absence.
Other improvements
Let’s look at some other improvements that come with All Hours 2.0:
Smarter handling of long-term absences
Employees on extended absences (sick leave, maternity, sabbaticals, etc.) are now automatically recalculated for more accurate payroll and reporting during those periods.
Required comments on requests
You can now require comments for any request, including clocking, absence, or time adjustments. This is especially useful for tracking early departures or special types of leave.
Streamlined Add event UX
Adding absences or clockings, whether for a single day or multiple days, is now faster and more intuitive for all users.
The All Hours 2.0 update brings a cleaner, more connected experience for everyone, from employees to HR teams and managers. It makes tracking easier, improves reporting accuracy, and boosts productivity.
