SPICA is proud to announce the official release of Time&Space v12.00, the latest and most advanced version of our enterprise time and attendance and access control solution. 

This version brings several upgrades in terms of security, productivity, and integration capabilities, reinforcing Time&Space’s position as one of the leading workforce management systems on the market.

What’s New in Time&Space v12.00?

Time&Space v12.00 builds on an already extremely secure and reliable foundation, introducing a few additional enhancements in security architecture, user experience, and system integration. Here’s what the new version brings:

Taking Security Even Further

At SPICA, security has always been a core value, both in our company and in the Time&Space system. This commitment is reflected in our adherence to industry-leading standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. Our cloud solutions follow the same rigorous approach, with compliance to ISO 27017 and ISO 27018.

With version 12.00, we're raising the bar even higher, introducing new advancements that further strengthen our security architecture. This includes:

  • IEC 60839 Grade 4 certification – Provides the highest level of access control security, ideal for critical infrastructure and high-security environments​.
  • TLS 1.3 support – Ensures stronger data encryption and secure communications.
  • Framework updates – Time&Space now requires .NET 8 and .NET 4.8, both covered by Microsoft Long-Term Support (LTS)​ for peace of mind.

Enhanced Productivity & Usability

Time&Space v12.00 also brings an improved user experience with a focus on speed and personalization. Highlights include:

  • Bulk user actions – Administrators can now manage up to 100 users simultaneously (e.g. for assigning work plan), improving efficiency.
  • Custom language & regional settings – The interface can be tailored to individual preferences for a more personalized experience.
  • Approver delegation – Ensures workflow continuity by enabling temporary reassignment of approval responsibilities.
  • Application switcher – Users can now easily navigate between Time&Space modules and connected applications.

Smarter Integrations

SPICA’s Time&Space continues to evolve as an integration-friendly platform, now with:

  • Support for HTTP/2 protocol – Enabling faster and more efficient communication between systems.
  • External user data visibility – External calculation data can be displayed directly within the Time&Space Portal for improved decision-making.
  • Integration with various systems – Seamless integration with various ERP and other systems remains fully supported, including SAP integration.

Administrator Tools & Other upgrades

Last, but not least, system management has been enhanced for better control, monitoring, and resilience:

  • New alarm types – Including duress PIN entry, excessive PIN attempts, and expired badge usage, ensuring proactive system alerts.
  • Enhanced anti-passback controls – With improved management of access rules at controller level.
  • Visual Space Manager upgrades – Including auto-refresh event logs and descriptive alarm group instructions for faster operator response.
