With over 20 years of business in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uniqa supports its customers through 35 offices across the country. The company employs 250 people and has a presence throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Objective: Time and attendance records merged across all sites

The insurance company implemented a time and attendance tracking system to optimize internal processes related to time and attendance management and access control.

The project objective was to merge time and attendance records across all Uniqa locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main challenges included complying with the legal framework for tracking working hours for all employees at the company level and integrating the records with the payroll module.

The goal of the project was to automate processes ranging from work planning and clocking to data control and correction, as well as advanced reporting and payroll integration.

"The Time&Space solution has enabled us to digitally track working time at the company level and improve the payroll process itself,” said Rubina Čirić, Head of Procurement and General Affairs.

"Integration between Time&Space and our payroll module has streamlined the payroll process. The software perfectly meets our needs and simplifies monitoring employee attendance," said Mirsada Šahat, Head of Finance at Uniqa Osiguranje.

One system in the head office, another in the branch offices

With Spica's solution, working time data is automatically collected, allowing data viewing and tracking anytime, anywhere.

In addition to the time and attendance tracking, the insurance company's head office building is also equipped with access control. At the entrance, locks connected to a Zone Touch terminal and readers are installed, recording events based on user rights and access points. Users are assigned access points, which restricts their movement around the premises.

In smaller branch offices, working hours are tracked via the Web Clocking online application, allowing employees to log in and out using a web browser. Clocking is linked to the corresponding position, and the location of employee logins and logouts can also be tracked.

To further automate processes, the company has implemented the Payroll Integration Framework module, which prepares payroll data and integrates the Time&Space system with the ERP system.

"The introduction of the Time&Space system has simplified the tracking and generation of working time data and enabled the implementation of flexible working arrangements, significantly contributing to employee satisfaction," says Emina Užičanin, Head of HR.
